Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Jasmine rice
- 2 cups Milk
- 2.5 tbsp Granulated sugar plus more as needed
- Pinch Kosher salt
- 3/4 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 cup Raisins
- 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Measure out the rice and milk. Place rice in a large saucepan. Add the milk, sugar, and salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently and scraping the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula so that the rice does not stick.
- Reduce the heat to a low simmer and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the rice is very tender and the mixture starts to thicken, about 20 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla extract and butter. Taste and add more sugar as desired. Place into a container and refrigerate to cool or serve warm.
- Top with raisins and cinnamon before serving.
