Strawberry Sundae

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Strawberries sliced
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2/3 cup Vanilla ice cream or ice cream of your choice
  • 2 tbsp Sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Place the strawberries, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Adjust to a low simmer until the strawberries break down and the liquid turns to a syrup consistency. Then remove from the heat. Break up the strawberries with a fork. Allow to cool before spooning over ice cream.
  • Once cooled, spoon the strawberry compote over ice cream and top with almonds. Serve right away.
