Steakhouse Wedge Salad

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Sirloin steaks substitute deli roast beef if desired
  • 2 tbsp Steak seasoning montreal steak seasoning or comparable brand
  • 1 head Iceberg lettuce trimmed and cut into wedges
  • 4 tbsp Blue Cheese Dressing
  • 12 Grape tomatoes quartered
  • 6 tbsp Crumbled blue cheese
  • 4 tbsp Red onion shaved

Instructions

  • Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  • Season both sides of the sirloin well with steak seasoning and salt. Cook the steak on both sides to your desired temperature using a thermometer (see below). Once cooked, set aside to rest for 3-5 minutes before slicing thin against the grain.
  • Lay down the lettuce wedge, drizzle with dressing, top with tomatoes, blue cheese, and shaved onion. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with sliced steak.

Notes

Steak Internal Temperatures:
  • Rare: 115 - 120 degrees F
  • Medium Rare: 125 - 130 degrees F
  • Medium: 135 - 140 degrees F
  • Medium Well: 145 - 150 degrees F
  • Well Done: 160 degrees F
