Prep all the ingredients per the instructions above.
Toss salad ingredients together. Reserve in the refrigerator until service.
Heat a pot on medium heat. Once hot, add the oil. Saute the garlic and onion until softened. Add the ground beef and brown well while breaking it up into smaller pieces using a spatula. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and season generously with salt and pepper. Partially cover with a lid and bring to a low simmer for about 30 - 35 minutes. While the sauce is cooking, prep the pasta.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the directions on the package.
When the pasta is finished, drain well. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water.
Make garlic bread: Toast the bread. Spread the butter onto the bread; top with garlic.
Finish the sauce: If the sauce is too thick add 1/4 cup of pasta water to thin it. Stir in the butter until fully combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from the heat and stir in the basil.
Make the lemon sparkling water: Combine sparkling water and lemon slices. Serve over ice if desired.
Serve: Toss the pasta in the sauce and garnish it with grated parmesan cheese. Toss salad ingredients together with dressing. Enjoy with garlic bread and sparkling water.
