Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a pot of boiling salted water cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain well.
In a nonstick pan heat the oil on medium heat. Season chicken with a pinch of salt and pepper and coat with flour. Brown chicken in the pan for 3 minutes per side, just until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
Add onions, peppers, garlic, italian seasoning, and mushrooms to the pan and cook until softened, about 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in the wine and simmer for 1 - 2 minutes.
Mix in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste; stir to combine.
Return the chicken to the pan and simmer until chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit, about 15 minutes.
Mix in the pasta and sprinkle cheese over top. Place the pan in the oven to melt the cheese. Serve with crusty bread.
