Ingredients

Sloppy Joe

  • 8 oz Ground beef
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Water or more if needed
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 TBSP Yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 Hamburger buns

Minestrone Soup:

  • Leftover Minestrone soup

Lemon Sparkling Water

  • 24 oz Sparkling water
  • 1 Lemon sliced
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Begin by preparing the minestrone soup. In a pot, reheat the leftover soup over medium low heat until hot.
  • Make sloppy Joe: In a nonstick pan over medium heat, cook the beef until no longer pink and drain the grease. Stir in the ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, onion powder and garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer until the sauce is well combined and thickened. Add more water if needed to adjust the consistency.
  • Place the sloppy joe on the bun.
  • Mix the sparkling water and lemon. Serve over ice if desired.
  • Serve the sloppy joe and minestrone soup with lemon sparkling water.
