Add the oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic for 1 minute, then add the green beans. Cover with a lid, turn the heat down to low-medium, and cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Season well with salt and pepper to taste. The green beans are done when they are soft, but still somewhat crispy.
Toss with shaved carrots and garnish with sesame seeds.
