Mexican Torta

Ingredients

  • Nonstick spray
  • 1/2 lb Ground beef
  • 1/4 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1/8 tsp Kosher salt
  • 4 slices Naan Sandwich Rounds
  • 1/4 cup Monterey jack cheese shredded
  • 6 Grape tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 Avocados pitted and sliced
  • 1 oz Tortilla chips

Chipotle Aioli

  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp Chipotle Sauce use more or less to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat a panini style grill. Lightly grease with nonstick spray.
    Alternatively, use a nonstick pan on medium heat with a lid.
  • For the aioli: Whisk all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Season with salt. Taste and adjust any of the ingredients as needed. Set aside.
  • In a bowl mix the beef, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, and salt. Then form into equal patties to fit the size of the naan.
  • Heat a saute pan on medium heat. Brown the beef on both sides about 2 minutes per side. Then remove from the heat.
  • Layer the naan with cheese, beef, tomato, avocado, seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook on the panini grill (or in a non stick pan) until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Cut in half and serve with tortilla chips and aioli.
