Homemade Hamburger Helper

Ingredients

Hamburger Helper

  • 8 oz Ground beef
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 TBSP Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1.5 cups Elbow macaroni
  • 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 slices Crusty bread
  • 4 tsp Butter

Apple juice

  • 24 oz Apple juice cold

Instructions

  • Prep the ingredients per the instructions above.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and stir to break down beef into tiny pieces, browning well. Drain some of the grease. Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in the water, milk, and macaroni. Simmer until the pasta is tender. Refer to the instructions on the package for cooking time.
  • Once tender, stir in the cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Toast the bread then spread it with butter.
  • Serve the hamburger helper with bread and apple juice.
