Homemade Cheeseburger Helper

Ingredients

Hamburger Helper

  • 8 oz Ground beef
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1.5 cups Elbow macaroni
  • 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese shredded

Sliced Pears

  • 2 Pears sliced

Lemon Sparkling Water

  • 24 oz Sparkling water cold
  • 1 Lemon sliced
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients as instructed.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, stirring to break it into small pieces, until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until the beef is evenly coated with seasoning.
  • Add water, milk, and elbow macaroni to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender (refer to package instructions for timing).
  • Once the pasta is cooked, stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  • While the hamburger helper finishes, slice the pears and set aside.
  • Combine sparkling water and lemon and serve over ice.
  • Serve the hamburger helper warm with a side of sliced pears and a glass of cold lemon sparkling water. Enjoy!
