Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prep ingredients per instructions above.
Prepare the Greek Meatballs: In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground lamb, breadcrumbs, red onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
Transfer the meatballs to a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Make the Garlic Sauce: Add the oil, garlic, and lemon to a food processor. Blend until creamy and fluffy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. (Optional: to remove a heavy garlic bite boil the garlic cloves for 3 to 5 minutes in water before using).
Prepare the Tomato and Avocado Side: Arrange tomato slices on a plate. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with dried oregano, and season with salt.
Dice garlic and toss it with avocado slices.
Warm the Pita Bread: Heat the pita bread in a dry skillet or oven until warm and soft.
Assemble and Serve: Serve the meatballs with garlic sauce, tomato slices, avocado, Greek olives, chunks of feta cheese, and warm pita bread on the side. Enjoy with a soda over ice, if desired.
