Ingredients

French Toast

  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • pinch Salt
  • 6 slices Your choice of bread sliced 3/4 inch thick (texas toast or hand-sliced loaf of crusty bread)
  • 2 TBSP Butter to grease the pan
  • 4 tsp Powdered sugar for dusting
  • 2 TBSP Maple syrup

Orange Juice

  • 16 oz Orange juice cold

Instructions

  • Preheat a nonstick pan or griddle on medium heat.
  • Whisk the egg, vanilla, cream, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Add a pinch of salt. Dip the bread in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly until the slices are moistened but not soggy. Lightly grease the pan with butter as needed. Cook bread slices until golden brown on both sides.
  • Sift the powdered sugar over french toast with a fine mesh strainer. Drizzle with syrup. Serve with orange juice.
