Ingredients

French Toast

  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • pinch Salt
  • 6 slices Texas toast or thick cut bread
  • 2 TBSP Butter to grease the pan
  • 4 tsp Powdered sugar as needed for dusting
  • 4 TBSP Maple syrup or desired amount
  • 1/2 cup Strawberries sliced

Milk

  • 16 oz Milk cold

Instructions

  • Preheat a nonstick pan or griddle on medium heat.
  • Whisk the egg, vanilla, cream, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Add a pinch of salt. Dip bread in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly until the slices are moistened but not soggy. Lightly grease the pan with butter as needed. Cook bread slices until golden brown on both sides.
  • Sift the powdered sugar over french toast with a fine mesh strainer. Drizzle with syrup. Top with strawberries. Serve with milk.
