Chocolate Covered Strawberry Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 tbsp Baking powder
  • pinch Salt
  • 1/2 lb Strawberries sliced
  • 4 oz Semi-sweet chocolate coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 oz Semi-sweet chocolate coarsely chopped

Instructions

  • Melt chocolate with butter in a saucepan over medium heat and let cool.
    Mix sugar into eggs with vanilla extract.
    Sift flour, baking soda and salt.
    Mix the melted chocolate into the egg mixture, then the flour mixture.
  • Pour the batter into an 8 inch baking pan with grease (option with foil liner) and bake in a preheated 350F / 180C oven until a stick poked in the center clear, about 20-25 minutes.
    Sprinkle strawberries on top of macaroons.
    Melt chocolate over low to medium heat on the stove or in the microwave, pour it over strawberries and let cool until it has solidified, about 30-60 minutes.
