Ingredients

Grilled Burger

  • 8 oz Ground beef
  • 1/2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 2 Hamburger buns lightly toasted
  • 2 slices Your choice of cheese
  • 4 leaves Butter lettuce
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • 2 slices Red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or use baby carrots)
  • 1/2 cup Hummus

Sauce

  • 2 TBSP Ketchup
  • 1 TBSP Mayonnaise
  • 1 TBSP Mustard

Mango Lassi

  • 1 cup Frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup Plain yogurt
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cardamom
  • 1 TBSP Sugar or to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients as described above.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Form into equal-sized burger patties.
  • In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard to make the sauce. Set aside.
  • Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook each beef patty for about 3 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook until your preferred doneness is reached.
  • Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns cut-side-down on the grill until lightly golden brown.
  • Assemble the burgers: spread the sauce on the buns, then layer butter lettuce, tomato slices, a grilled beef patty, and red onion. Top with the remaining bun halves.
  • Make the mango lassi: in a blender, combine frozen mango, yogurt, milk, cardamom, and sugar. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  • Serve the cheeseburger with carrot sticks, hummus, and mango lassi.
