Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 1/4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Butter diced
  • 1/4 cup Buttermilk as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Smash in the butter with a fork.
  • Mix in the buttermilk a little at a time; stir using a rubber spatula just until a moist and sticky dough forms.
  • Portion the dough evenly and lightly dust each with flour, then form into a round shape onto the prepared baking sheet. Place into oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked in the center and golden brown. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
