Beef Suya

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 /2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 lb sirloin steak thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion cut into wedges
  • 1 large tomato cut into wedges
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley whole leaves

Instructions

  • Place the peanuts in a food processor and process until finely chopped. Add paprika, onion powder, ginger, pepper flakes, and garlic powder; pulse together until combined.
  • Place the sliced beef in a bowl. Drizzle with 1/2 the oil. Add the peanut mixture and toss together. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Heat the rest of the oil in a nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and saute, about 8 - 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve with onion, tomato, and parsley. Sprinkle with salt over the top if desired.
