Beef Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb Sirloin steaks sliced into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup Onion sliced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 8 leaves Bibb lettuce
  • 4 tsp Sriracha sauce optional
  • 2 tbsp Scallions chopped

Instructions

  • Toss the steak with cornstarch and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the oil. Fry the steak until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • To the same pan add the peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Saute until softened. Next add in the garlic, paprika, lime juice, broth, and soy sauce. Simmer until the flavors blend and concentrate. Remove from the heat, toss in the beef.
  • Portion onto the lettuce leaves. Drizzle with sriracha if desired. Garnish with scallions.
