Apple Granola Pie

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/3 cup All-purpose flour
  • Nonstick spray

Filling

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Granny Smith Apples peeled and sliced, core removed
  • 1 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • Pinch Salt
  • pinch Ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp Pecans chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Granola store bought or make your own (see recipe)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • For the crust: Mix together the melted butter, sugar, and flour until fully combined. Lightly grease a ramekin or oven safe vessel with nonstick spray. Press the crust mixture into the bottom to cover the bottom completely.
  • In a nonstick pan on medium low heat add the butter, apples, sugar, salt, nutmeg, pecans, and cinnamon. Saute until the sugar starts to melt. Stir in the water. Bring to a simmer and cook until the apples start to soften and the liquid is a deep golden brown. Remove from heat and portion on top of the crust.
  • Top with granola.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the crust is cooked. Set aside to cool completely before serving.
