Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich

Ingredients

Apple Sauce

  • 1 Granny Smith apple peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 TBSP Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Allspice

Sandwich

  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Chipotle Sauce
  • 4 slices Sourdough bread lightly toasted (or your choice of bread)
  • 1 cup Spring mix
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • 8 oz Deli turkey breast
  • 1 Avocados pitted and sliced

Sparkling Water

  • 16 oz Sparkling water cold

Instructions

  • Make the apple sauce: place the apples, water, sugar, cinnamon, and allspice into a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook until the apples are very soft. Remove from the heat. Mash the apples with a potato masher or pulse in a blender for a smoother consistency. Then set aside.
  • Lay the bacon in a skillet over medium heat. Cook on both sides until it is golden brown and crisp. Set aside on paper towels to drain any excess grease. While the bacon is cooking, prep the ingredients above.
  • In a bowl, mix together the mayo and chipotle sauce until fully combined.
  • Lightly toast the bread then spread the chipotle sauce one side of each slice.
  • Layer the bread with lettuce, tomato, turkey, bacon, and avocado. Cut in half and serve with apple sauce and sparkling water.
