Hungarian Goulash

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1/4 Onion peeled and chopped
  • 2 Carrots peeled and chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 2 cups Canned diced tomato
  • 3 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground fennel seed
  • 1 cup Green Peas
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In a pot over medium heat, cook the beef, stirring occasionally, until brown. Add in the onion, carrot, and garlic, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir in the remaining ingredients, except the peas and parsley. Cover and simmer for about 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Add in the peas and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley before serving.
