Ingredients
Noodle Soup
- 2.5 cups Chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp Fresh thyme minced
- 1/2 tsp Fresh sage chopped
- 1 oz Egg noodles
- 1/4 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp Black pepper
Grilled Ham and Swiss
- 2 TBSP Butter
- 6 oz Deli ham
- 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 4 slices Sourdough bread or bread of your choice
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 oz Potato chips
- 2 Pickle spears
Fruit Punch
- 16 oz Fruit punch cold
Instructions
- Prep ingredients per the instructions above.
- Make the soup: Add the broth, thyme, and sage to a pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer. Stir in the noodles, salt, and pepper. Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Prep the sandwich: Heat a nonstick pan on medium heat. Once hot, add half of the butter. Brown the ham slices on both sides then remove them from the pan.
- Spread the mayo on the inside of each bread slice. Then layer the bread with cheese, ham, and cheese, and top with a bread slice. Spread the remaining butter on both of the outer sides of the sandwich.
- Grill sandwich: Lower the heat in the pan to medium-low. Cook the sandwich to golden brown on both sides and until the cheese has melted completely, covered with a lid.
- Serve: Cut the sandwich in half and enjoy with soup, chips, pickle, and fruit punch.
