Ingredients
- 6 oz Breakfast sausage patty
- 1 TBSP Butter
- 1/4 cup Onion diced small
- 1/4 cup Green bell pepper diced small
- 4 Eggs beaten
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
- 2 slice Sourdough bread toasted and buttered
- 2 tsp Butter
- 2 TBSP Grape jam your choice of jam
Beverage
- 16 oz Orange juice cold
Instructions
- Preheat the oven broiler on low.
- Prep omelet ingredients per instruction above.
- Heat a skillet on medium heat. Cook the sausage patties on both sides until nicely browned to an internal temperature of 155 degrees using a thermometer.
- Make omelet: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the butter. Saute the onion and pepper until softened and golden brown. Pour in the eggs and reduce the heat to low. Use a spatula to pull the cooked eggs into the center, letting the liquid egg fill the space behind it. Continue going around the pan, pulling the eggs toward the center until the eggs are nearly set. Sprinkle cheese over the egg and transfer the pan under the oven broiler to melt the cheese. Fold the omelet in half.
- Make toast: Toast the bread in a toaster oven. Spread the butter on the toast, then spread with jam and cut in half.
- Serve: Enjoy the omelet with sausage patty, toast, and orange juice.
