Ingredients
Biscuits and Gravy
- 4 Biscuits Store-bought
- 6 oz Ground sausage
- 2 TBSP All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Milk
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Eggs
- 2 TBSP Butter or cooking oil
- 4 Eggs
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Orange Juice
- 16 oz Orange juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the biscuit package. Bake the biscuits as directed.
- While the biscuits are baking, prepare the gravy. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage with flour and stir well to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.
- Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- While the gravy is simmering, prepare the eggs. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your liking (i.e. scrambled, fried, or sunny side up). Season with salt and pepper.
- Once the biscuits are done baking, split them in half horizontally and place them on serving plates.
- Spoon the hot sausage gravy over the biscuits.
- Serve with eggs and orange juice.
