Ingredients

Oatmeal with Honey, Nuts, and Fruit

  • 4 cups Water or milk, or half water/half milk for creamier oats
  • 2 cups Old-fashioned oats
  • pinch Salt
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon optional
  • 2 TBSP Honey plus more to drizzle
  • ¼ cup Nuts chopped, e.g., walnuts, almonds, or pecans
  • ½ cup Fresh fruit e.g., banana slices, berries, apple, raisins, or dates

Orange Juice

  • 16 oz Orange juice cold

Instructions

  • Boil the Liquid: In a medium saucepan, bring water (or milk, or a mix) to a boil.
  • Cook Oats: Stir in oats, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  • Sweeten: Remove from heat and stir in honey while still warm.
  • Prep Toppings: While oats cook, chop the nuts and prepare fruit.
  • Assemble Bowls: Divide oatmeal into two bowls. Top with nuts and fruit, and drizzle with extra honey if desired.
  • Serve: Enjoy with a glass of cold orange juice on the side.
