Ingredients

Grilled Burger

  • 8 oz Ground beef
  • 1/2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 2 Hamburger buns lightly toasted
  • 2 slices Your choice of cheese optional
  • 4 TBSP Ketchup or choice of condiments
  • 4 leaves Butter lettuce
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • 2 slices Red onion thinly sliced

Sides

  • 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or use baby carrots)
  • 1/2 cup Hummus

Mango Lassi

  • 1 1/2 cups Mango frozen and chopped
  • 3/4 cup Yogurt plain
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cardamom
  • 1 TBSP Sugar to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients as instructed above.
  • Mix the ground beef with worchestershire sauce, salt and pepper until combined. Form into patties.
  • Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Grill the patties on one side for 3 minutes, then flip and cook to desired temperature (see below). Place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • Optional: Toast the hamburger buns cut-side down on the grill until golden brown.
  • Assemble the burgers by layering the bun with lettuce, tomato slices, beef patty, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve with ketchup.
  • To make the mango lassi, blend the frozen mango, plain yogurt, milk, ground cardamom, and sugar until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  • Serve the burger with carrots and hummus, and mango lassi.

Internal Temperatures:
Rare: 115 - 120°F (46 - 48°C)
Medium Rare: 125 - 130°F (51 - 54°C)
Medium: 135 - 140°F (57 - 60°C)
Medium Well: 145 - 150°F (62 - 65°C)
Well Done: 160°F (71°C)
