Ingredients

Greek Meatballs

  • 4 oz Ground beef
  • 4 oz Ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup Seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 TBSP Red onion finely chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1/2 Egg beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Extra-virgin olive oil for cooking
  • 2 Pita bread

Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1/4 Cucumber grated and drained
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 TBSP Fresh dill chopped
  • 1 TBSP Red onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Tomato, Avocado, Feta, and Olives

  • 1 Tomato sliced
  • 1 Avocado sliced
  • 2 tsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp Dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 oz Feta cheese sliced
  • 1/2 cup Greek olives

Mango Lassi

  • 1 cup Frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup Plain yogurt
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cardamom
  • 1 TBSP Maple syrup (to taste)

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients as instructed above.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground lamb, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, egg, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
  • Transfer meatballs to a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • To make the tzatziki sauce, grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess liquid.
  • In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Arrange tomato slices and avocado on a plate. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Warm pita bread in the oven or on a skillet until soft and slightly golden.
  • In a blender, combine mango, yogurt, milk, cardamom, and sugar. Blend until smooth. Adjust sweetness and consistency with more sugar, milk, or mango as desired.
  • Place meatballs on plates and spoon tzatziki over them. Serve with tomato, avocado, feta, olives, warm pita bread, and mango lassi.
