Ingredients
Hot Green Tea
- 16 oz Water
- 2 Green tea bags
Cottage Cheese Toast With Tomato & Onion
- 2 slices Your choice of bread
- ½ cup Cottage cheese
- 1 Tomato diced
- 2 TBSP Red onion sliced thin
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- ¼ tsp Oregano dried
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
With Lox
- 2 slices Your choice of bread
- ½ cup Cottage cheese
- 2 oz Lox (smoked salmon) chopped
- 2 TBSP Red onion sliced thin
- 1 tsp Fresh dill roughly chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Apple Dates Almonds & Chia Seeds
- 1 Apple cored and thinly sliced
- 4 Dates pitted and chopped
- 1 TBSP Almonds roughly chopped and toasted
- 1 tsp Chia seeds
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as noted. To toast almonds, heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Place almonds in skillet and stir frequently. Watch to prevent burning. Set aside to cool.
- Heat the water to 175–185°F (80–85°C), just before boiling. Remove from heat, add the green tea bags, and steep for 2–3 minutes before removing and discarding the tea bags.
- Toast bread slices until golden and crisp.
- Spread cottage cheese evenly over the toasted bread.
- For the tomato and onion toast, top with tomato and red onion, drizzle lightly with olive oil, and season with oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- For the lox toast, top with lox, red onion, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper.
- Combine apple slices, dates, toasted almonds, and chia seeds.
- Serve cottage cheese toast with fruit and green tea.
