Ingredients
Burgers
- 8 oz Ground beef (Black Angus recommended)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 TBSP Carolina BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 slices Cheddar cheese
- 2 Hamburger buns
- 1 cup Arugula
- 1 Tomato sliced
- ½ cup Pickle slices
Carrots and Hummus
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks or baby carrots
- 1/2 cup Hummus
Lemon Sparkling Water
- 24 oz Sparkling water
- 1 Lemon sliced
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as instructed above.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Carolina style tangy BBQ sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until fully combined.
- Shape the beef mixture into even burger patties.
- Heat a pan or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties on both sides to your desired doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a pan until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by layering the bun with arugula, tomato slices, pickles, burger and drizzling with additional BBQ sauce if desired. Top with the remaining bun half.
- Combine the sparkling water with lemon slices.
- Serve the Burgers with carrot sticks, hummus, and Lemon sparkling water.
