Ingredients

Burgers

  • 8 oz Ground beef (Black Angus recommended)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 TBSP Carolina BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 2 Hamburger buns
  • 1 cup Arugula
  • 1 Tomato sliced
  • ½ cup Pickle slices

Carrots and Hummus

  • 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks or baby carrots
  • 1/2 cup Hummus

Lemon Sparkling Water

  • 24 oz Sparkling water
  • 1 Lemon sliced

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients as instructed above.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Carolina style tangy BBQ sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until fully combined.
  • Shape the beef mixture into even burger patties.
  • Heat a pan or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties on both sides to your desired doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a pan until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Assemble the burgers by layering the bun with arugula, tomato slices, pickles, burger and drizzling with additional BBQ sauce if desired. Top with the remaining bun half.
  • Combine the sparkling water with lemon slices.
  • Serve the Burgers with carrot sticks, hummus, and Lemon sparkling water.
