Oatmeal Apple Cinnamon Pancakes
- 1 Apple peeled and sliced
- 1 tsp Butter for sautéing the apple
- 1 TBSP Maple syrup to glaze the apple
- 1/2 cup Rolled oats
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Milk any type
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 TBSP Sugar optional, depending on sweetness preference
- pinch Salt
- Butter or oil, for cooking
Maple Syrup
- Maple syrup for serving
Milk
- 16 oz Milk cold
Fresh Fruit
- 2 cups Fresh fruit e.g., blueberries, sliced banana, or raspberries, washed and prepared as needed
Instructions
- Sauté apple: Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the apple and cook until softened. Stir in maple syrup and cook for 1 minute more. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, flour and milk.
- Mix batter: Add egg, cinnamon, baking powder, sugar (if using), and salt to the mixture.
- Cook pancakes: Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with butter or oil. Pour about ¼ cup of batter per pancake. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, flipping when bubbles appear and edges are set.
- Serve the pancakes with apple topping, drizzle with maple syrup, and serve with fresh fruit and milk.
