Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 2 tbsp Steak seasoning Montreal steak seasoning or equivalent
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 oz Cheddar cheese or your choice of cheese
- 4 Hamburger buns toasted
- 2 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil if making the eggs
- 4 Eggs optional
- 8 leaves Lettuce iceberg or romaine
- 8 slices Tomato
- 4 Pickles halved
- 4 tbsp Ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan on medium heat.
- Mix together the ground beef, steak seasoning, and worchestershire sauce, season generously salt and pepper and form into patties. Grill burgers to desired doneness (see below) using a thermometer. When the burger is 3/4 of the way cooked to your liking add the cheese to the top to melt.
- Heat the oil in a nonstick pan on low medium heat. Crack the eggs in the pan and cook until the whites of the egg becomes firm and longer runny, about 3 - 5 minutes.
- Toast the buns on the grill or in a 350-degree oven until golden brown. Place the burger on the bun with lettuce, tomato, and top with the egg (if desired). Serve with pickles and ketchup or your choice of condiments.
