Ingredients
Cacao superfood smoothie
- 1 TBSP Cacao powder
- 2 TBSP Peanut butter
- 1 Banana
- ½ cup Rolled oats
- ½ tsp Maca powder optional
- 2 TBSP Honey to taste
- 3 cups Milk your choice
- 2 tsp Goji berries optional, soaked in water for 20 minutes then drained
- 1 tsp Bee pollen optional, for topping
In season fruit
- 2 cups Fresh fruit e.g. apple slices, pear slices, or kiwi, quartered, washed and prepared as needed
Instructions
- Prepare ingredients. Wash, slice, or portion fresh fruit. If using goji berries, soak them in water for 20 minutes and drain.
- Blend smoothie. Add cacao powder, peanut butter, banana, rolled oats, maca powder, honey, and milk to a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust texture. Add extra milk to thin or a few ice cubes to thicken to your liking. Taste and adjust sweetness with more honey if desired.
- Garnish. Pour smoothies into two glasses and top with goji berries and bee pollen if using.
- Serve. Enjoy the smoothies with the in season fruit on the side.
