Ingredients
Sandwiches
- 4 slices Sourdough bread
- 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 2 TBSP Yellow mustard
- 4 leaves Romaine lettuce
- 4 slices Tomato
- 6 oz Deli ham
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
Sides
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or use baby carrots)
- 1/2 cup Hummus
Sparkling Chia Fresca
- ½ cup Lemon juice
- 16 oz Sparkling water
- 2 TBSP Maple syrup or honey
- ½ tsp Chia seeds
- pinch Salt
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients per the instructions above.
- (Optional) Toast the slices of sourdough bread to your desired level of crispness.
- Spread mayonnaise and mustard on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer the bread with romaine lettuce, tomato slices, deli ham, and Swiss cheese.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down. Press gently, then cut each sandwich in half.
- To prepare the chia fresca, mix all the ingredients together until combined. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the chia seeds to expand, then stir again.
- Serve the sandwich with carrots, hummus, and sparkling chia fresca.
