Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Steak seasoning Montreal steak seasoning or equivalent
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese or your choice of cheese
  • 4 Hamburger buns lightly toasted
  • 1 tsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 cups Romaine lettuce shredded
  • 8 slices Tomato
  • 1 Avocados pitted and sliced
  • 2 Pickles sliced into rounds
  • 4 tbsp Ketchup

Instructions

  • Preheat grill or grill pan on medium heat.
  • Mix together the ground beef, steak seasoning, and worchestershire sauce, and form into patties. Grill burgers to desired doneness (see below) using a thermometer. When the burger is 3/4 of the way cooked to your liking add the cheese to the top to melt.
  • Heat the oil in a nonstick pan on low medium heat. Crack the eggs in the pan and cook until the whites of the eggs are firm and yolk is soft. (Cover with a lid and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to help firm the whites of the eggs. Remove the pan from the heat and season with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly toast the buns.
  • Place the lettuce, tomato, avocado, burger, and egg on the bun. Serve with pickles and ketchup or your choice of condiments.

Steak Internal Temperatures:
  • Rare: 115 - 120 degrees F
  • Medium Rare: 125 - 130 degrees F
  • Medium: 135 - 140 degrees F
  • Medium Well: 145 - 150 degrees F
  • Well Done: 160 degrees F
