Ingredients
- 1 Apple sliced
- 1/2 cup Walnuts
- 3 tbsp Brown sugar
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 cup Rolled oats
- 4 oz Chicken sausage links sliced
- 1/2 cup Dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup Kiwi peeled and diced
Instructions
- Add apples, walnuts, sugar, and butter to a non-stick pan. Cook over low-medium heat, then stir in the cinnamon and vanilla. Allow it to reduce into a syrup consistency until the apples are tender.
- Add the milk and oats to a saucepan over medium heat and stir until combined. Cook according to the instructions on the package. Season with salt. Once cooked, cover with a lid and set aside.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brown the sausage slices on both sides.
- Spoon the apples over the oatmeal, top with cranberries and kiwi, and serve with chicken sausage.
