Ingredients

French Toast with Maple Syrup

  • 2 large Eggs
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • 4 slices Your choice of bread (thick-sliced preferred)
  • Butter or oil for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving

Fruit

  • 2 cups Fresh fruit (e.g., berries, sliced bananas, or oranges)

Milk

  • 16 oz Milk

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the fruit as needed.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated but not overly soaked. Allow excess egg mixture to drip off of the bread slices.
  • Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil.
  • Place the soaked bread slices onto the skillet or griddle and cook for 2 - 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with remaining slices.
  • Divide the cooked French toast slices between two plates.
  • Top with fresh fruit of your choice.
  • Drizzle the French toast with maple syrup according to taste.
  • Serve with a glass of milk on the side. Enjoy immediately!
