Ingredients

French Toast Sticks

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk (of your choice)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp Ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 4 slices Thick-cut bread (of your choice)
  • 2 TBSP Butter
  • 4 TBSP Maple syrup

Fresh Fruit:

  • 1 cup Your choice of fruit (such as berries, banana slices, or seasonal).

Milk:

  • 16 oz Milk cold

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt until well combined. This is your French toast batter.
  • Trim the crusts from the bread slices and cut them into sticks, about 1 inch wide.
  • Place a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add 1 TBSP of butter. Let it melt and coat the pan evenly.
  • Arrange your serving plates, forks, and glasses for milk on the dining table. Place fresh fruit and maple syrup in serving bowls.
  • Dip each breadstick into the batter, coating it well on all sides. Allow any excess batter to drip off.
  • Place the coated sticks in the preheated skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Repeat until all sticks are cooked. Add more butter to the pan if needed.
  • Transfer the cooked French toast sticks onto serving plates.
  • Serve the warm French toast sticks with maple syrup for dipping and fresh fruit on the side. Enjoy with a glass of milk.
