Ingredients

Waffles

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 TBSP Granulated sugar
  • 1 TBSP Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 cups Milk
  • 2 TBSP Unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 4 Breakfast sausage links
  • Strawberries sliced
  • Whipped cream

Orange Juice

  • 16 oz Orange juice cold

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.
  • Grease the waffle iron with non-stick spray or a little melted butter. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using the recommended amount according to your iron's instructions.
  • Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 3-5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter until all the waffles are cooked.
  • While the waffles are cooking, prepare the breakfast sausages according to the package instructions. Typically, they can be cooked in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  • Once the waffles are ready, remove them from the waffle iron and keep them warm.
  • To serve, place a waffle on a plate and top it with sliced strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. Add the cooked breakfast sausages on the side.
  • Pour yourself a glass of orange juice to enjoy with your meal.
  • Repeat the process for the remaining waffles, serving each one with strawberries, whipped cream, breakfast sausages, and a glass of orange juice.
