Ingredients
Waffles
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 TBSP Granulated sugar
- 1 TBSP Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 3/4 cups Milk
- 2 TBSP Unsalted butter melted
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 4 Breakfast sausage links
- Strawberries sliced
- Whipped cream
Orange Juice
- 16 oz Orange juice cold
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.
- Grease the waffle iron with non-stick spray or a little melted butter. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using the recommended amount according to your iron's instructions.
- Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 3-5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter until all the waffles are cooked.
- While the waffles are cooking, prepare the breakfast sausages according to the package instructions. Typically, they can be cooked in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
- Once the waffles are ready, remove them from the waffle iron and keep them warm.
- To serve, place a waffle on a plate and top it with sliced strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. Add the cooked breakfast sausages on the side.
- Pour yourself a glass of orange juice to enjoy with your meal.
- Repeat the process for the remaining waffles, serving each one with strawberries, whipped cream, breakfast sausages, and a glass of orange juice.
