Ingredients
Beef Tips
- 6 oz Egg noodles
- 8 oz Beef sirloin cut into bite-sized tips
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 TBSP Extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 Onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 TBSP All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Caramelized Carrots
- 2 TBSP Butter
- 2 cups Carrots peeled and sliced diagonally
- 2 TBSP Brown sugar
- Salt to taste
Sweet Iced Tea
- 24 oz Sweet tea
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Caramelize the Carrots: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add sliced carrots and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over the carrots; stir to coat evenly. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are tender and caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and set aside.
- Prepare the Beef Tips: Season the beef tips with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef tips until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onions until translucent, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the onions and garlic; stir well to combine.
- Slowly pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring continuously to make a sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and add the beef tips back into the skillet.
- Let it simmer for 8-10 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly and the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Serve: Divide the cooked noodles onto two plates. Spoon the beef tips and sauce over the noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve alongside the caramelized carrots and glasses of sweet iced tea. Enjoy!
