Ingredients
Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal:
- 1 cup Old-fashioned oats
- 2 cups Milk (of your choice)
- 1 Apple large, peeled and diced
- 2 TBSP Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Salt
Sweet Mocha with Whipped Cream:
- Coffee or espresso
- 2 TBSP Cacao powder
- 2 TBSP Sugar
- ½ cup Whipped cream
- ¼ tsp Cacao powder optional for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine oats, milk, diced apple, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the oats are tender and the mixture thickens.
- While the apple cinnamon oatmeal is cooking, brew your favorite coffee.
- Pour the hot oatmeal into a bowl.
- In a separate pot, mix brewed coffee, cocoa powder, and sugar. Heat gently while stirring until well combined and hot.
- Pour the mocha into a cup.
- Top each mocha with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
- Garnish the whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder for an elegant touch.
- Serve the mocha alongside the warm oatmeal.
