Ingredients

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal:

  • 1 cup Old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups Milk (of your choice)
  • 1 Apple large, peeled and diced
  • 2 TBSP Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Salt

Sweet Mocha with Whipped Cream:

  • Coffee or espresso
  • 2 TBSP Cacao powder
  • 2 TBSP Sugar
  • ½ cup Whipped cream
  • ¼ tsp Cacao powder optional for garnish

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine oats, milk, diced apple, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the oats are tender and the mixture thickens.
  • While the apple cinnamon oatmeal is cooking, brew your favorite coffee.
  • Pour the hot oatmeal into a bowl.
  • In a separate pot, mix brewed coffee, cocoa powder, and sugar. Heat gently while stirring until well combined and hot.
  • Pour the mocha into a cup.
  • Top each mocha with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
  • Garnish the whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder for an elegant touch.
  • Serve the mocha alongside the warm oatmeal.
